How to Find Your Perfect Bangle Fit: A Crystal Guide to Sizing and Serendipity

When it comes to crystal bangles (or jade bangles), one size definitely does not fit all. Unlike my favourite stretch-cord bracelets, hard bangles are solid and unchanging - just like the energy they hold. It is so frustrating when you see a design or crystal that you like, but it is not your size and you can't do anything about it!

That's why finding your perfect fit is so important! But here's the twist: every bangle is already waiting for the wrist that it was made for - like destiny, sealed in stone.

Read on as I guide you step by step on how to  measure your hand properly and explain why finding the right fit matters! Making choosing your next meant-to-be hunt all the more exciting.

Why the Fit matters?

Because hard bangles don't stretch or adjust, (they are made stubborn that way) that means that your bangle has to be just the right size to slide over the widest part of your hand - usually at your knuckles - and then sit comfortably on your wrist. Too small, and it can't shimmy pass your knuckles. Too big, and your "destined" piece might slip right off. (Cue the sound of your heart breaking as you see it break into pieces..)

Technically, it's less about your wrist size and more about the shape and flexibility of your hand. The right bangle doesn't just fit - it feels like it chose you!

So, How to measure?

Step 1: Bring your fingers together

Bring your thumb in towards the tip of your fingers, like a little "beak" shape, like you are putting on the bangle.

(With measuring tape) (With ruler)

Step 2: Measure the widest part

Using a flexible measuring tape, wrap around the knuckles and across the meatiest part of your palm below your thumb. This will be your Hand Circumference.

If using a ruler, measure the width of your outstretched palm. This will be your Hand Width.

Step 3: Find your size

Put your measurements against the respective chart below to determine the bangle size you need.

Crystal Bestie Tip: If you're in between sizes, size up for comfort. When putting your fingers together, give your knuckles area a good squeeze, if your hand feels soft, stick to the accurate measurements, if your hand feels stiff and does not "squeeze" well, size up for comfort.
